Art 2 Visits the Legion of Honor Museum in San Francisco

On November 20th, students in Mr. Treacy’s Art 2 and a few AP Art students explored the Legion of Honor Museum in the beautiful Presidio. In the museum, students explored the work of James Tissot in the special exhibition “Fashion and Faith.” Students were excited to be transported to Paris and the intricate paint handling of Tissot’s street scenes. In the permanent collection, students explored sculpture by Auguste Rodin and Japanese woodblock prints. After our museum tour, several students opted to go on a hike along the cliffs of the Golden Gate.
